Where can I launch a boat?

We map every ramp we can verify, including public and state-park ramps plus marina launches, across Bernice, Disney, Fairland, Grove, Ketchum, Langley, Monkey Island. Ramp usability depends on the current lake level, so check conditions the morning you go rather than relying on a past visit.

Marinas & slips

Marinas ring the lake from Monkey Island and Ketchum to Grove, Afton and Disney. Slip availability, ship's store hours and on-site dining vary by season, and we don't publish an amenity until the marina confirms it β€” call ahead.

Boat rentals

If you're visiting without a boat, rentals β€” pontoons, deck boats and personal watercraft β€” are available around the lake, usually by the half-day, day or weekend. Reserve early for summer holiday weekends.

Boat repair & marine service

Fiberglass and gelcoat work, engine and electrical service, trailer repair, detailing, winterization and on-water towing are all available locally. A service shop is not the same thing as a marina β€” we list them separately so you can find the right one.

Rules, safety and dock permits

The Grand River Dam Authority manages Grand Lake, its shoreline and its permitting, and GRDA Police patrol the water. Rules change β€” treat the summaries below as orientation and confirm the current requirement with GRDA before you build, dredge or run at night.

Boating events

Poker runs, fishing tournaments, holiday fireworks and boat parades fill the summer calendar. See what's coming up, or jump to fishing tournaments.
