🎣 Fishing Forecast: Bites Are Hot & The Lake’s Up!
If you're heading out with rod and reel this weekend, here's what to expect on Grand:
Largemouth Bass are hitting hard around brush piles, rocky banks, and submerged timber. Crankbaits, soft plastics, and spinnerbaits are the go-to lures right now. Work the structure in 8–15 ft of water and stay patient—big ones are lurking.
White Bass are starting to pick up over shallow flats and points. Alabama rigs and inline spinners are getting strikes, especially early in the day.
Blue Catfish are making a strong showing! Cut bait, chicken liver, and fresh shad are working great near docks, shorelines, and along river channels—especially below the dam.
🎯 Lake Conditions
Elevation: 9 feet above normal and stable
Surface Temp: Around 77°F
Clarity: Murky—great for ambush predators like bass and cats!
“I told the fish a joke… but they didn’t laugh. Guess they’re still a little shellfish.”– Pops McGee, Reel Funny Guy
