Grand Lake Community Invited to Celebrate World Peace Day at Lendonwood Gardens
On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the Grand Lake area will come together in a powerful show of unity for the Grand Lake Area World Peace Gathering, set to take place from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Lendonwood Gardens Pavilion. The event coincides with the International Day of Peace, a day recognized globally for promoting harmony, understanding, and cooperation among people of all nations.
Hosted by the Creative Alliance Imagine Grand and sponsored by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma, this community gathering welcomes people of all ages, faiths, and cultures. Organizers envision the event as a space where attendees can “collectively raise up all countries of the world with love, respect, kindness, and peace.”
A Celebration of Unity
The program will feature a variety of activities to inspire reflection and connection, including live music, poetry readings, and short meditations for peace. Attendees are encouraged to bring their voices, open hearts, and willingness to share in the collective spirit of the day.
Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs, though benches and folding chairs will be available on-site for convenience.
A Message from the Organizers
“We want to create an opportunity for our community to stand together in the spirit of peace,” organizers shared. “It’s a moment to slow down, listen to each other, and affirm that love and kindness are values that can transcend borders.”
